Morley This goofy looking guy is the perfect companion. This Bassett hound/shepherd mix (approximate birth date 2001) is small, but sturdy, mellow, yet playful. He adapts well to new situations, getting along great with other dogs and people. He goes wherever his nose leads him, so he’ll need a fenced in back yard to keep him out of trouble. Adopted! |

Abby is a young hound mix who was found abandoned on a country road in the fall of 2002. She is full of energy, and like most hounds, loves to run! She has spent time in foster care and has learned appropriate house manners. However, Abby is full of energy and therefore would do best with older children. Abby has been adopted and is living the good life in Lawrenceburg. |

Kirby was rescued in the winter of 2002 when he was found abandoned on the side of a country road. He arrived at the sanctuary cold, scared, and hungry. After a few months in our care, this beautiful border collie mix (approximate birth date early 2002) has blossomed into a healthy, playful, and outgoing dog. He enjoys the company of other dogs and people, and enjoys playing with cats—though they don’t always enjoy playing with him! Kirby is a happy-go-lucky guy whose main goal in life is to please you! Adopted! |

Murphy is a gorgeous black retriever mix who came to the sanctuary in spring of 2003 where he was facing death row at a local shelter. We estimate his birth date to be 1997—which means he is sweet and playful—but also mellow! He loves people and gets along great with other dogs, which would make him the perfect addition to any family. He is a true gentleman with a special talent for snuggling.Adopted! |

Greta is a young shepherd mix who came to us from a local shelter. Initially, she was shy, but she warmed up to her caretakers within days and would make a great addition to any family. Because she is generally passive, she would get along with any existing canine family member. Greta has been adopted and is enjoying the good life in Lexington! |

Cisco is one of Ada's pups who was adopted in 2000 and sadly, was just returned to the sanctuary because his family went through a major life change and felt they could no longer keep him. He is a very sweet boy who misses family life and desperately needs a home again. Cisco has been adopted and now has a loving family in Lexington! |

India is yet another of Ada's pups (yes, there were 9 to start with!) who desperately wants a human she can call her own. She is about 50 lbs and a shepherd mix. These kids of Ada's can be seen at adoption days taking a nap with one of our child volunteers right there on the sidewalk! India has finally found a family of her own! |
