Hot Shot This old girl needs a home! This hound mix was brought to a shelter after her person died. She came to us confused and in poor shape, but is now happy and healthy and thinks she's the queen of the sanctuary. There is no doubt that Hot Shot would love her own home or a good indoor/outdoor foster situation. Hot Shot finally has a home and is now living the good life in downtown Lexington.

Janie was probably born in the spring/summer of 2000. She was brought to Home At Last from a shelter that was full. She's a small lab-mix, and though fully grown, looks like a big puppy. She gets along wonderfully with children--usually rolling over immediately for a belly-rub. She's fun-loving, yet calm and would make the perfect addition to any family. Congratulations to Janie who has been adopted and now has a place to call home!

Boone came to us with her sisters Opal and Stella when they were found dumped at the sanctuary. She and all of her sisters have been adopted into wonderful, loving homes.

Opal was dumped at the sanctuary along with her 2 sisters, and was actually found by resident greeter/patrol dog Mickey 2. She and all of her sisters have been adopted into wonderful, loving homes.

Clark is a 5 year-old, 14-pound terrier/lhasa apso mix. He was found "guarding" Lewis just before they were both rescued. He's a very friendly, playful, and energetic dog. Lewis and Clark were both long-time residents of the sanctuary, but Clark is the only one who remains with us. Part of the reason is that Clark does have that typical terrier behavior of acting like he is much bigger than he really is!

We are happy to report that Clark has finally found a home!

May is another of Ada's beautiful puppies. Congratulations to May, who has been adopted and finally has a person all to herself!

Tracie was hit by a car and had an injured front leg.  She has recovered well, however, and now only occassionally has a slight limp.  Tracie is a very energetic young puppy who also enjoys the lap, as you can see. Tracie now has a wonderful family of her own.

Celeste is the last of Ada's female puppies. She is much like the others in disposition (sweet and a little shy), but she stands out from the others because her face is all white--quite striking as you can see! For Celeste's family it was love at first sight! She's now living happily in North Carolina.

Jodie is a very sweet girl, who came to us in March of 2000 when she was rescued from deathrow at a local shelter. Though about 2 1/2-3 years old, she still has that cute puppy-look. She is playful, loving, and gentle and so ready for a family of her own. Jodi now has a devoted family of her own.

Echo is another long-time resident of Home At Last. She is a 6 year old, 45 pound female foxhound who was rescued from traffic on a major Louisville highway. She's very loving and responsive to people. She does like to go exploring and will go over a fence if possible (she'll need a six-footer), but she simply goes in search of her caretakers, or Gilbert the pig, who she likes to hang out with. We are thrilled to say that Echo now has a home of her own.

Foster This adorable terrier mix (birth date early 2003) was found in a creek and lucky for him was rescued by a very caring couple who brought him to HAL (summer 2003). A visit to the vet revealed that he was epileptic and would require daily medication to prevent seizures. Because of this, Foster is one of our “special needs” animals. But Foster doesn’t know that he has “special needs”. He just knows that he loves to run and play with his dog buddies, and he loves to be cuddled by his people friends. Though energetic, Foster gives very gentle kisses! Adopted!
