Iris Iris is the mother of Edie and Odelle who came to us late in 2002 when they were rescued from a feral colony in Frankfort. She is big, plush, grey & white, and her approximate birth date is early 2001. She is still learning to trust people, but she seems to very much enjoy the comforts of life off the streets. She would do best in a quiet home where she can continue to gain confidence in herself and her surroundings.

Maxine is a very unique looking cat with the most amazine blue eyes we’ve ever seen! She is very soft and plush, and her coat is more like a rabbit than a cat. She came to us with her siblings Potsie and Howie (approximate birth date March 2002) She is known affectionately as “Maxine the Queen” because she demands attention and keeps her brothers in line! She loves new visitors and is eager to play. Maxinei s one of our special needs cats because she has Feline Leukemia. She doesn’t have any symptoms or require any special care other than a home without other cats (unless they too are FeLeuk positive). Maxine is full of personality and spunk and would be a great addition to any family.

Charlie came to us with his brother Louie when they were abandoned in our driveway. They both came to us
extremely sick but with proper nutrition and loving care have healed. They will probably always be cats with sensitive systems, but in the right environment,
we know they will flourish. Loving and gentle, these boys deserve a loving home to make up for their rough
beginning.

Tantoo is a very eye-catching tortoiseshell (approximate birth date early 2001). She came to us from death row at a local shelter. Her name conjures up ideas of mystery, independence, and intrigue. Miss Tantoo is all of these and more. She is also very sweet and though she may pretend at times to be aloof—she can be silly and playful and is actually quite the attention hog. She LOVES to be held! She currently lives in foster care with other cats and dogs and gets along well with all of them. However, we feel she deserves a place where she can be the queen!

Harper came to us with her babies Harvey and PJ (also available for adoption) because they were all tested posive for Feline Leukemia. Though they are classified as special needs, these cats are on no special medications and require no special care except that they are the only cat in the home (unless living with
another FeLeuk cat). Harper is a petite girl with a loving heart.

Odelle is a lovely, grey tabby (approximate birth date Oct 2002) who came to us when she was rescued from a feral colony in Frankfort with her mom (Iris) and sister (Edie) in late 2002. She is curious about new people, but her favorite past time is hanging out with another formal feral, Jay. They are often found curled up together in a windowsill. Though still a bit shy, she is quite sweet and playful.
Edie is a petite, baby-faced grey and white cat who was rescued from a feral colony in Frankfort with her mom (Iris) and her sister (Odelle) in late 2002. Her approximate birthdate is Oct 2002. She is a quiet cat who enjoys napping in patches of sunshine or snuggling up under the blankets. She is still cautious about new people, but is getting braver every day. We feel confident that with love and patience, she will have no problem adjusting to a new family.

Yancy--How can you resist this face?
Yancy is an affection hog! He follows sanctuary volunteers everywhere--determined to be the center of
attention at all times! He's a real character who is affectionate, playful, and attentive!
He is also one of our special needs cats with Feline Leukemia. He requires no special meds or veterinary care, just a home where he can reign supreme as the only cat (unless living with other FeLeuk cats). He's
ready for a home--and he wants it to be yours!!
