Volunteer

If you'd like to do hands-on work for Home At Last, please consider joining us as a volunteer.  A wide range of volunteer opportunities awaits any energetic animal lover. Among them are: 

Fundraising
Walking, grooming, and companionship for animals
Basic obedience training for dogs
Transporting animals and assisting on adoption days
In-home visits to adoptive or foster homes (especially outside Kentucky)
Serving as a tour guide at the sanctuary
Presenting educational programs in schools
Assisting with public relations & events
Providing foster homes for special dogs, cats, or rabbits
Assisting the executive director in various administrative duties 
Shed, fence, and building construction
Coordinating special projects
Transporting adopted animals     
Providing transportation in Lexington to and from a local spay/neuter clinic.
For a few days, care for cats recovering from spay/neuter surgery.
