Lewis and Clark Discover Home At Last

The group of explorers Thomas Jefferson sent 8,000 miles to chart the West was called the Corps of Discovery.  Rest assured, that spirit lives on in two intrepid travelers who were forced to make some discoveries on their own, not all of them good.

Lewis, a 10-pound schnauzer mix and Clark, a 14-pound Llasa Apso mix found themselves alone and in hostile territory.  These tiny guys had no Sacajawea, no support from Washington.  They had only one another as they faced dangers of the human kind after being discarded in the country.  As they scrambled down a rural road, shots rang out.  Shots aimed at two tiny dogs.

Their luck soon changed when Terry of Home At Last saw them on the road and lifted Lewis to safety.  Clark followed right along.  Poor Lewis was terribly matted and frozen with fear.  The loyal and brave Clark continued to serve as Lewis' protector. "I'll take care of you, buddy."  After a quick trip to the vet for a bath, haircuts, and neutering, Lewis and Clark returned to Home At Last where they have settled in and become very affectionate.

It's no wonder this pair is inseparable, considering the kind of expedition they've endured.  We doubt their journey is over.  These two will surely work their way into the heart and home of a special person.  Could it be you?

Lewis and Clark, two little dogs who beat the odds, are waiting for some well-deserved couch time at a nice new home.  Until that time, they're happy to run and play at Home At Last, thankful that a friend came along just in time
