Little Treasures

Flea markets are, unfortunately, popular places to sell animals. Somehow, though, dogs, cats, puppies, kittens, and pot-bellied pigs just don't seem to mix with kid's clothes, odd glassware, and old recliners.

But that's where Meg, Mollie, and their mom, Mia, found themselves one hot late summer day...in a box at a roadside flea market.  Now there are some bad places for little puppies and scared under-nourished mom dogs, but a flea market can be one of the worst.

On this particular day, art-deco lamps must've been the hot sellers because by 6 p.m. the little box full of dogs was still right there in the hot sun.  There was nothing to eat of drink for the little vagabond family, either.  "Won't somebody take us home, please?"  No one did.

And just when these three little guys thought things couldn't get any worse, when they were thirsty and hungry beyond belief, the person who'd brought them simply left...without them.

Fortunately for Meg, Mollie, and Mia, a person shopping the sale couldn't turn her back on the pups.  They were soon on their way to Home At Last, where they're learning to trust people and waiting for loving adoptive homes.

Meg, Mollie, and Mia...thrown away at a flea market.  A second chance at Home At Last.

Some kids get all the breaks.
