Fern

Fern came to the sanctuary with her mother and eight siblings at only ten days old in the spring of 2000. They were found in a barrel in a very rural KY community where, which didn't have an adequate animal shelter at that time.They have all been adopted, now only Fern remains. This beautiful shepherd/elkhound mix is incredibly sweet though a bit shy of newcomers since she hasn’t spent much time off of the sanctuary grounds. Due to her long time at the sanctuary, she has had many different yard mates, and has always accepted them with "open arms". She is a special girl who needs patience, love, and a dedicated guardian who will allow her to slowly adapt to family life. Could it be you?
