About HAL
Rodney is another of the extremely special souls who reside at Home At Last. He was rescued from Cincinnati, OH where Pit bulls/Staffordshire terriers are illegal. He was found tied to a tree and abandoned. Born in 1996, this pit bull/chow mix has been with us since 1998. He is a permanent resident due to some unpredictable past behavior. We've never had any incidents in all the years he's been at the sanctuary, but early on, as a guest on a local t.v show, he bit the news reporter! We realized that he is happiest at the sanctuary where he can spend time with the dogs and humans that he loves. He has shown himself to be a sensitive guy, and seems to be in mourning after the death of his longtime yard mate, Bonnie.
Rodney is a familiar face to those that have visited HAL over the years. He represents one of the many reasons we do what we do--to provide rescue and sanctuary to animals that have little to no other options.
